In short
Transplanted hair does not appear overnight. It sheds at two to four weeks, begins regrowing at three to four months, thickens noticeably through months six to nine, and reaches final density at twelve. Every result below belongs to a specific patient with their own donor supply and their own starting point — which is why the consultation measures yours rather than showing you someone else's.

Consent comes first
Every patient photograph published here needs that patient's explicit permission for website use. Agreement to appear on social media is not the same permission, and is not treated as though it were.
More comparisons are added as consent is confirmed, rather than filling the space with images that are not his patients.

Timeline
How a result actually arrives
- Weeks 2–4
Shedding
Transplanted hairs shed. Expected, and not the graft failing — the follicle stays where it was placed.
- Months 3–4
First growth
New hair begins coming through, fine and soft at first.
- Months 6–9
Thickening
Growth becomes obvious to you and to other people. Texture normalises as hairs mature.
- Month 12
Final density
The result is judged here, in person, against what was planned at the start.
Common questions
Asked before booking
When will I see my final result?
Twelve months. Transplanted hair sheds at two to four weeks, regrowth starts at three to four months, and density builds through months six to nine. Judging the result before twelve months is the most common mistake patients make.
Are these results typical?
No two heads are the same. Results depend on donor density, the area being covered, hair type and how much loss is still to come. What is shown here is what those particular patients achieved, not a promise of what you would.
Why are there not more before and after photos?
Every photograph of a patient needs their explicit consent for website use, and consent for social media is not the same thing. More are being added as permissions are confirmed.
Do you photograph every patient?
Photographs are taken as part of normal clinical record-keeping, with consent. Whether they ever appear publicly is a separate decision that belongs to the patient.
Can I speak to a previous patient?
Ask at consultation. Some patients are happy to talk about their experience; that is arranged individually and only with their agreement.
What happens at the twelve-month review?
Dr Matee reviews you in person, assesses final density against what was planned, and advises whether a second smaller session would add anything worthwhile.
