Common questions
Asked before booking
Which clinic should I contact?
If you are in the south east, Kent. In the north, Manchester. Otherwise call the consultation location nearest you — the team will arrange the rest.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes, and there is no obligation. It covers donor assessment, a realistic graft count and hairline design.
Can I send photographs first?
Photographs help give a rough idea, but they cannot replace measuring donor density in person. Any estimate from a photo is indicative only.
Where does surgery take place?
At one of two surgical clinics — KSL Clinic in Maidstone, Kent, or Salford, Manchester. All other locations are consultation rooms.
What about aesthetic treatments?
Non-surgical aesthetics are delivered separately at Regenifi Clinic in Chigwell, Essex. See the aesthetics page for details.
Choosing
Which clinic should you contact
Two sites operate; seven more consult. The right first call depends on where you are, not on which number you find first.
South east England
Call Kent directly. Maidstone handles consultation, surgery and aftercare in one place, and for much of London and the south east it is the shortest journey.
Northern England, Scotland, Ireland
Call Manchester. Salford is the surgical site for everything above the Midlands and the arrival point for patients flying in.
Anywhere else
Call the consultation location nearest you. You will be assessed locally and travel to Kent or Manchester only for the procedure itself.
Before you call
What is worth having to hand
Nothing is required, but a few things make the first conversation more useful. Roughly when you first noticed the loss, and whether it has changed in the last year or two. Whether anyone in your family has the same pattern. Any previous hair procedures, wherever they were carried out. And any medication you take, since some affects hair and some affects bleeding.
Photographs help give a rough sense of things, but they cannot replace measuring donor density in person. Any estimate made from a photo — including the graft estimator on this site — is indicative only.
What the consultation costs
Nothing, and there is no obligation attached to it. It covers donor assessment, a realistic graft count and hairline design — including being told plainly if surgery would not achieve what you are hoping for, or if your loss is still progressing and you should wait.
Afterwards
What happens once you have been seen
If you go ahead, a procedure date is arranged at whichever surgical clinic suits you, and you are given written aftercare instructions before you leave on the day. The fortnight that follows is the period that matters most: washing from day three, shedding around week two, and a return to physical activity after a fortnight.
Follow-up is arranged around where you live. The twelve-month review is the fixed point — in person with Dr Matee, judging final density against what was planned, and advising honestly whether a second smaller session would add anything worthwhile. You can see what results look like and read patient follow-ups before you decide anything.
Find out where you actually stand
A free, in-person assessment with Dr Matee — donor density, a realistic graft count, and a straight answer on whether surgery is right for you.
