Before-and-after photographs show an outcome but not the road to it. These are follow-up visits — six months, twelve months, and in one case a correction after previous work elsewhere — written up so you can see how a result actually arrives rather than only where it ends.

Why follow-ups
What a follow-up shows that a photograph does not
A before-and-after pair tells you where someone started and where they ended up. It says nothing about the eight months in between — the shedding at week two that makes people think it has failed, the fine regrowth at month four that does not yet look like anything, or the thickening through months six to nine that finally makes it obvious.
That gap is where most of the anxiety lives. These write-ups exist to fill it, because the single most common mistake patients make is judging a result before it has arrived.

Patience is the technique
The twelve-month review exists because density is not final before then. Grant Hall's case is a full year assessed properly rather than a result declared early.
Correction is harder than prevention
Donor supply is finite and scarring is permanent. Christopher Maloney's case shows what a sixth procedure has to work around.
